With over 15 years’ experience in careers guidance and development, I have supported thousands of individuals to navigate recruitment processes, strengthen their applications and perform confidently in interviews. My clients have gone on to gain experience, secure roles and progress in careers across sectors including law, psychology, health, engineering, computer science, media, the creative industries, government and not-for-profits.
I help people clarify their direction, manage change and move forward with confidence through structured, reflective support informed by their values, motivations, skills and experience. My approach is practical and grounded in a strong understanding of recruitment practices, industry trends and employer expectations, building confidence at every stage.
As a Level 6 qualified Careers Guidance and Development practitioner, I have spent the past decade at Durham University supporting students, graduates and alumni across all disciplines. Previously, I delivered community-based careers support, working with adults facing redundancy, career change or returning to the workforce.
I have extensive experience supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds, including those with care experience, disabilities, neurodivergence, caring responsibilities, employment gaps and under-represented groups, ensuring fair access and effective career progression.
Whether you are refining your CV, preparing for interviews, updating your LinkedIn profile or exploring new directions, I will help you plan your next career steps with clarity and confidence.
I take a person-centred, collaborative approach, taking time to understand each individual’s goals, motivations and challenges. I provide guidance tailored to each client, focused on practical, actionable strategies that support career progression and decision-making. Whether helping someone clarify their direction, strengthen applications, or prepare for interviews, my aim is to provide advice and support that is relevant, effective and aligned with their objectives.
When reviewing CVs, cover letters, application forms or LinkedIn profiles, I take a rigorous approach. I ensure each person’s experience, achievements and strengths are presented clearly and professionally. I pay close attention to tone, language and structure, creating polished, impactful documents that showcase professional capabilities and potential.
No matter what support you need, from a single application to wider career planning, I provide expert, tailored guidance.
I help students, recent grads, early-career professionals and people making a career change. I know how confusing applying for jobs can feel, so I work to make it simple and manageable.
My aim is to help you feel clearer about choices, more confident in applications, and ready for interviews. Small changes often lead to better results, and I’ll stick with you until you feel ready.
